Porto Novo is a Portuguese family business incorporated in 2012 whose mission is restoring old buildings focusing on re-used architecture. The introduction of the young generation with international experience demanded a growth, new interests and also a revision of the company’s identity respecting its values and legacy. The Brand concept follows the new inputs yet the fundamentals of the Porto Novo.
A simple system of elements, inspired by the construction mode of the Maison Domino, generates a sequence that incorporates the company’s name composing the complete Logo, representing dynamicity yet stability. The design uses one distinct typographic system, declined with different strokes according to the use and combined with a colour scheme based on navy blue, green olive, deep green and purple, colours bound up with Portuguese landscape and urban environment yet neutral and classic.
The website design follows the logic of the brand strategy. The Logo and its dynamic composition are the reference of the pages, the core of the structure; its elements are used as signs in different parts of the site reinforcing the connection and the reference to the company and its identity. The colour scheme characterizes the main sections of the website differentiating the space and the contents.
